Colchester Tourism Website Welcomes Millionth Visitor

Colchester's Tourism team are celebrating after learning that the VisitColchester.com website had served its millionth visitor during March. The New Vision Group, as the company that designed and built the site and provides the technology behind the Destination Management System (DMS) employed by the site, offered its own congratulations.

CUMBRIA Tourism's website is in the running for a major international award next month. The website was designed in conjunction with top marketeers Cheetham Bell JWT Manchester and the platform supplied by the New Vision Group in Hertfordshire. Cumbria Tourism's e-tourism team was heavily involved in the build of the website and help keep the content current and topical.

A year ago, with the backing of Yorkshire Forward, Yorkshire Tourist Board (YTB), the six sub-regional Tourism Partnerships (TP) and New Vision Group Ltd began implementing a region-wide Destination Management System (DMS) to meet the tourism needs of Yorkshire & Humber businesses, tourism professionals and holiday makers. One year on, and like most anniversaries, it's time to take stock of what's happened, how it happened and how everyone continues to move forward to work towards a successful new tourism season.
TOURISM TECHNOLOGY FORUM SUCCESS

This years' New Vision Group Annual Tourism Technology Forum, held at the National Coalmining Museum, Wakefield, on the 28th February 2008, was attended by over 100 delegates from tourism destinations across the UK. Bigger and better than ever before, the event was extremely well received by delegates.

The first of March saw more than twenty New Vision clients settled into the very comfortable George Hotel in Lichfield for the latest Experts Day. As usual it was a very intense program ? only the liberal application of tea and coffee and a great lunch sustained our clients through it?
