Shakespeare Country Winners

We are very pleased to announce that two clients have recently won prestigious tourism awards. Our congratulations go to Shakespeare Country and VisitKent for their award winning websites!

"New Vision Group is very pleased to have played a part in both of these websites - it is always very gratifying when our own work helps our destination clients to achieve the recognition they deserve," explains Ben Tagg, MD.

Shakespeare Country won a highly coveted Gold Award in the Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards announced on 11 November at the ICC in Birmingham. Shakespeare Country won both the Gold Award for ‘Best Destination Tourism Website of the Year' and the overall Award for ‘Best Tourism Website of the Year'. Shakespeare Country will now go forward to the national final next April to compete against the highest accolades in English tourism, coordinated by VisitEngland, the national tourism agency.

Phil Hackett, Chief Executive for Shakespeare Country stated, "We are extremely proud to have won Gold for our website in these highly coveted awards. I wish to thank our team who has been instrumental in re-developing our website and ensuring it is one of the most popular destination websites in the country. It's a fantastic achievement for Shakespeare Country to be recognized and rewarded at such a prestigious ceremony".

The final results of the Tourism ExSEllence Awards covering the whole of the South East were announced on the 28th October at a Gala Event where VisitKent won Tourism Website.

As a winner, VisitKent will now go on to compete in the national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence in 2009.  Judges looked for excellence, quality and innovation, covering all aspects of competing businesses from customer service, sales & marketing, to training & development for staff.  Jenefer Yeung, judge of the Tourism Website category, declared Visit Kent as the outright winner due to its ‘professional look and feel' and easy-to-access information on what to see, what to do, and where to stay in Kent.
