WEB DESIGNER
New Vision Group of Baldock, North Hertfordshire are looking to recruit a web designer to join their talented and busy web team. The successful applicant will be responsible for designing award winning tourism web sites, including styling and integrating our Data Management System templates. At the core of the role is a requirement to understand CSS and HTML and accessibility issues, together with an aptitude for high quality work and thoroughness. A flair for design and an understanding of information architecture and graphical user interfaces is a must. The role is suited to an individual who is organised, self-directed, enthusiastic and with an innovative personality, with experience of dealing with clients with good customer service. Knowledge of Java, ASP, XHTML would also be advantageous, although not essential. An ability to problem solve effectively would be necessary and the successful applicant should also be a good at communicating at all levels.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT ASSISTANT salary negotiable dependent on experience
One of the UK’s longest established tourism technology suppliers based in Baldock, Hertfordshire is looking for a Customer Support Assistant to join the existing team.
Initially the job role would involve answering client calls and emails to our busy seven day-a-week Helpdesk, and learning about our bespoke software platform. However this role could also present an opportunity for the successful applicant to develop their role within the Support team in a range of ways.
The successful applicant will have a technical background with an interest in computer hardware and software applications. We are looking for somebody with excellent communication skills that is comfortable in a customer facing environment, be it face to face or on the telephone.
The ideal candidate will have relevant work experience in the customer service or support sector; knowledge of the tourism industry is also desirable. The candidate should be educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent. Full training on all bespoke applications will be given.
Key Duties
- Responding to and progressing customer application issues, queries and requests for change over the telephone and by email in a professional manner and within SLAs as part of a small team
- Monitoring the operation of client and server-side applications to ensure consistent efficient service
- Maintaining and developing client relationships
- Helpdesk administration duties
Key Skills and Requirements
- Call handling or similar customer support experience and is engaging on the telephone
- Enthusiastic, positive and friendly communication skills and the ability to instil confidence
- Good customer care skills
- Organisational and time-management skills
- Strong technical skills, capabilities and understanding
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and use initiative; an all-rounder
- Attention to detail and ability to efficiently resolve customer issues to a high standard
- Ability to liaise with other internal departments and escalate issues where required
- Computer skills essential (must include Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer etc)
- Knowledge of database structure and application and their integration into websites desirable
- Flexibility to work 5 days in 7 that may include weekends and Bank Holidays
