Herefordshire's new website showcases the area's attractions and is easier for the visitor to use
"It has to be said that our old site was starting to look a little dated and we wanted to carry out re-design of the site that would better showcase the great tourism offer we have here in Herefordshire. NVG carried out a major review of the site and delivered a website with a look and feel that really identifies and expresses the broad range of tourism product that we have here in Herefordshire. Whilst we may have a strong rural heritage and we are justifiably proud of the beauty of the area, we can also offer a wide range of activities from canoeing and climbing to cycling and walking. And if your interest is in culture, history or fine dining, again we really take some beating. Our new website needed to express all of these things.
So we've really developed the look and feel and added some new features into the site that make it a far more interesting experience for the user... We've got some fantastic images that really tells a story about Herefordshire... from stunning views of Ross and the Wye Valley to Hereford Cathedral and the medieval beauty of Ledbury... the image carousel shows some of the sights available to our visitors. We've also made using the site far easier. The introduction of a search facility on each page means that the site user is never more than a couple of clicks away from being able to find out where to stay, where to go or what to do. As well as some of the new features, some of the most popular components from the old site have been maintained. The virtual tour is a great way to explore some of the great sites in the beautiful towns that we have in Herefordshire.
All in all, I have to say that we're delighted with the outcome and we're confident that the investment that we've made will deliver significant long term benefit into the local tourism economy." - Jane Lewis, Tourism Marketing Manager, Herefordshire
