Counterpoint helps generate revenue for TIC
Leeds is the cultural, financial and commercial heart of West Yorkshire, famed for its shopping, nightlife, thriving universities and sports. Rich in culture and heritage, Leeds offers wonderful architecture, plenty of museums, restaurants and theatres. Tourism is extremely important to the Leeds economy with Leeds Visitor Centre being one of the busiest in the UK having dealt with almost 30,000 enquiries in 2010. The Leeds Visitor Centre provides a direct and personal link with visitors, assisting and encouraging potential visitors to choose the area, or advising local residents or those already visiting how to make the most of their stay. They have been using NVG's Tourist Information & Call Centre solution since 2008. The range of tools available enables efficient enquiry management and accommodation booking both locally and around the UK using the Book-A-Bed-Online (BABO) tool. Located in Leeds Railway Station, the Visitor Centre (run by Visit Leeds) specifically finds the Counterpoint tools invaluable in the day-to-day running of the centre, generating significant revenue through fulfilling accommodation bookings. NVG and Visit Leeds continue to work in partnership to provide an invaluable resident and visitor resource, utilising the technology to drive forward broader CRM activities.
